Travel & Stay
Please note that South Lake Tahoe is 6,237 feet (1,901 m) above sea level making altitude sickness a possibility. Typically, the best way to prepare is by staying hydrated!
If flying into South Lake Tahoe, please fly into Reno International Airport (RNO). It is the closest and most convenient airport, but will still require a shuttle or taxi up the hill to South Lake.
There is a shuttle called the South Tahoe Airporter that can be pre-booked, or you can request a Taxi or Uber once landed. Cars are also available to rent from the airport, which could be a great option if you’re planning to explore the area.
